NO DONT DO IT clowns are VERY VERY territorial they will fight and probably to the death. now it can work in a very large tank but no way it will work in a nano

how old are the clowns? if they are still very young it might be okay. I had no trouble pairing my black clown with my percula clown.

i really wouldn't risk it. How old are the ocellaris clowns? If you have another tank you can put the clowns in just in case then you can give it a try. If you are set on doing this find the sexes of your clown fish. if they are females they are gonna be much more dominant and aggressive. The non dominant fish should twitch and shake showing its place.

Do a search about 6 Lines. A lot of people say they are aggressive but adding them last should help. I had one in my 20 gallon and added a pair of Ocellaris and he's been completely fine. They haven't fought once.

I wouldn't reccommend adding a third clown in that small of a tank. The pair will probably gang up on the new fish and possibly kill it. As for the sixline, they can be really nasty. I have one that is 1.25" and beats up on a 2.5" maroon clown all day long. I keep trying to catch him so I can get rid of him. They do a good job of keeping the tank pest free and they are very active.

ive been watching my sixline closely for the pass two days and from what i can see when the lights are on he just swims around now he already killed a smaller sixline that was given to me. i found the carcus on the sandbed yesterday. can i introduce any other kinds of reef safe wrasses in there?

Adding another pair of clownfish to a 29 gal nano, might cause you some problems. You already have a sixline in this tank too. Good luck.

I added a pair of black clowns to my 55 gallon after already having a pair of false percs. Well the Orange and white clowns constantly harassed the black ones. So I added one more black one.
3 black 2 orange.
In the end the Oranges won.
Expensive experiment.

If you're going to get the new pair no matter what, I recommend you take out the old pair, restructure the aquascape and place the old and new fishes at same time.

I'd recommend not doing this. If someone offers me a free snowflake eel, I'm still not going to put him in my tank.
I introduced a sixline to our Eclipse 12 that already had 3-year established pair of ocellaris clowns in it and he dive bombed them for days. He had to go.

hit or miss on both. usually miss.
i had a pair of ocellaris that i had in my tank for months and added a pair of baby black ocellaris. they were fine. i lost them all to ich, though due to my early failures and tried it again with slightly older pairs. one partner from each pair was killed. remaining two fought for several months before they finally started tolerating each other.
a sixline i had despised firefish. never touched any other fish. even got beaten up by some damsels i used to have. but when he saw firefish, he'd chase them all day long.
