I recently came back from Long Island, Bahamas and I brought back a few things with me, one of which was snails. They are plentiful there and I found these wonderful hot pink nerites. I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen them at their LFS. Does any one else own any? Are they not nearly as rare (in the trade, not in the wild) as I thought? I don't have pictures right now, lost camera cord and zero photo-taking skill, but here is a link which gives an idea of what they look like:

Mine don't have the brown-green. They are pink, black and white.

I have seen the nerites that have the same pattern but are only black and white. Those look nice biggrin.gif

Maybe we dont see them because they are not allowed to be collected.

Looks cool.. wouldn't suggest putting them in a reef though..

These Nerites can be found in great numbers on every rock along the oceans edge ... but they don’t like to be underwater.

ocean's edge != reef

They're probably awesome enough to do it anyway, though tongue.gif

I actually got some of those from reefcleaners.org. They do like to spend a lot of time at the top of the tank, but they are very pretty and all I have to do is move them to the rocks and they'll work.

ya same here i got mine from reefcleaners but they do like to be at the top of the tank.
