I have had a scarlet hermit for over 2 years now. I'm curious how long they live.

Hermits in the wild can live 20 or 30 years, maybe not the micro hermits though, but I know large marine hermits can live quite a while. Remember they are social animals and like to live around other hermits as well.

Despite hermit crab's annoying traits, I like them. I have a two micro hermits, and one is a red leg named "shellie". This crab was my first ever saltwater creature I bought, along with another I traded back a little later.

hey coool Hermit there. The longest living saltwater is also a hermit for me. Incidentally, it was also the first living thing I bought for my tank. He lives in the sump now, still kicking.
