So, I was watching the tube and got up for a sec and walked by the tank and watched for a few as I usually do. What do I see, my CBS eating two of my yellow polyps. WTF!!?? I didnt actually see him tear them off but he dam sure did have them in his mouth. Is that usual for the CBS? And believe me he cant be that hungry, I feed plenty.

Yep, that happened with me too, CBS can't be trusted around coral until you know that your cbs is reef safe. Every one seems to be different.

Yup guess I'll keep a close eye on him. If this continues, obviously he's going bye bye.

Take a pic because people will never believe that shrimp, CBS, peppermint, sexy shrimp, can do anything wrong. If I could easily remove my peppermint and sexy shrimp I would.

cheryl, any specific behaviors coming from those guys? I'm still planning what kind of shrimp I want and am a bit sketched out by them.

I was never planning on a CBS since everything I read seems to be negative (except maybe the blue legs) so it's good to see this thread come up.

1. Have 3 peppermint shimp, got them for aiptasia and they ate it all. I have had all for over a year, one day they decided to eat my mini-carpets and yes I saw them do it.

2. Sexy shrimp 3, had for a year no problems now eating my zoanthids,

3. One fire/blood shrimp no problems.

4. Two emerald crabs no problems.

And I had heard the horror stories on others threads of shrimp gone wrong, but mine never did, so I did not believe them. Now I have no doubt in my mind my shrimp with exception of the fire shrimp are evil.
Zepo.
My scarlet skunk cleaner ate my carpet also.....
