Start off with some zoanthids and palythoa, then maybe something like acans or frogspawn in the future.
Some people like xenia and green star polyps, but im not a fan.

Zoas/palys and ricordia. They're colorful, hardy and most likely you won't get sick of them down the road like you would with most other softies or leathers. You should have enough lighting for a frogspawn, hammer, or torch coral also.

I should suggest something easy like xenia, GSP, mushrooms, zoa, and palys.
The GSP (Green Star Polyps) will grow like weeds but you will have cool looking green star polyps around your tank. Same with the xenia. I have some pumping xenia and it looks awesome! I have seen a few head pup our of no where since I got them 2 weeks ago.
Mushrooms, zoa, and palys all will have pretty cool colors you can find and they are easy to maintain.
Good luck!

If you get a frogspawn, hammer, or torch I would suggest to keep them away from any other corals. They will sting other corals and kill them.
Just have them with caution.
I have seen people have them right next to corals with no problems but I have also seen some that will sting anything that it will come in contact with.

They probably wont get much bigger. lol
I think mine are huge and they are like the size of a button of a button up shirt.
They will probably grow a little bit. Not much though. They will for sure spread though.

Yup!
I wouldn't worry about the "Ugly" ones. Everyone usually gets an oddball zoa in the bunch.

Kalk them ugly ones, no seriously ugly can become pretty seriously. I've seen some ugly zoas under nice lighting look great, and seen some beautiful out of my tank zoas look terrible under substandard lighting. The tank looks good, if you would like a good coral I would suggest yellow polyps they are the only coral I have ever deliberately kalked, they are like aptasia amongst my zoas, atleast the brown ones only compete.

u can get some duncans if u like feeding coral.
frogspawns are good but u need a lot of room because they are extremely aggressive and will sting everything it touches. also it grows fast. so u might need to sell it later on.

There are several nice coral that you could keep. Start with simple then move up. Things like gsp is great for like the back wall or bottom of the tank. It can be kept right on th glass. This looks really good in bare bottom setup's or just as the back ground. Xenia is a good second step along with things like kenya tree's and green clove polyp's. These are all pretty easy and most coral of this type will add movement to the tank. At this level of care with out the movement there are rics & mushrooms. Mushrooms how ever get to large, while rics are perfect for nano's. It should also be mentioned at this point that some corals, due to there growth rate can act as a filter of sorts. Most things like xenia. At this point find a good test coral to see if the tank is ready for more dificalt to keep forms. For this I like candy cane but could aby do blastos. Use a frag with 1 maby 2 heads. When this and the rics are growing well, dividing or producing new heads at a steady then continue moving on to more difficult forms like a nice frogspawn or torch.

All of what they mentioned are great starter corals. But beware the gsp, xenia and kenya tree grow like crazy in the right conditions and can become a nuisance. Some people hate they ever put them in there tank. It's best to isolate them to a removable rock so you can trim them down if need be. Also don't count out regular mushrooms, there are some really cool colors round.

mushrooms have the same problem as xenia and whatnot. the groth potential of xenia is both a pro & con. if it is placed corectly for trimming, then serves the purpose as cheto does in the fuge. this is where the concept of a display fuge comes from.

That's why suggested that it be mounted to a removable rock. From my experience all the items I mentioned multiplies a lot faster then mushrooms, unless you use the blender technique.
