I want to do the mod's people do to the stock solana skimmer

I'm trying to make a quick run to home depot tonight before they close.

I know I need to drill some holes (what size drill bit do i need?)

Also I understand I need to do a 'mesh mod" to my pump..

what do I need to do to make that mod? Do they sell what I need at home depot to do that?)

You'll need to purchase some Enkamat P4FA, preferably the flat mesh from either Premium Aquatics, Aqua Cave or meshmod.net. Hardware stores don't stock it.

bummer. I know some people that drill into the stock pump and the plastic venturi that sticks out to make it skim better. If were to just do that, but not the mesh mod, do you think it'd be a better skimmer?

what sort of drill bit do you think I'd need to buy?
