Hey guys, i have a yellow tail damsel, three stripe damsel and 2 ocellaris clowns in a 29 gallons. the two clowns are just hanging out on one side of the tank while the yellow tail only hangs out in the middle and the 3 striped damsel is in the back behind a rock. Is this a problem or is it just because i just introduced the yellow tail and clowns today?

thanks for your input!

The three stripe is a bad choice with the other fish. Clowns are actually damsels, too, but the ocellaris/percula species are unusually peaceful. The yellow-tail is probably also peaceful (there are more than one blue damsels with yellow tails).

hmm yea i've heard the three stripe was bad, but for reason my is just hiding in it's cave all day and not bothering any of the other fish..anyone else seen this before?

It is because you just introduced new fish. Do not worry soon the black/while damsel will be bullying your new fish.

well so far everything looks good, no one is really bothering anyone, the clowns are all over the place and so is the yellow tail, while my three stripe aka obama is still hiding, but comes out more frequently

..and if things get to tense, Obama's gonna have to go..hope not fingersx01.gif

thanks for the tips!!

I have 2 blue yellow damsels and they are very aggressive when they spawn towards my OClowns but the funny part is that I also have a huge domino damsel who protects the clowns and chase of the blue damsels biggrin.gif

I might have to take him out since he eats like a pig and outgrow all of my fish:D
