I have a 29g biocube. 3 weeks old and has already cycled. We have 8 (or so) hermits 2 turbos 1 astreas and 2 nassarius snails. also a small green mushroom coral, a pulsing xenia and green star polyps in the tank. I HATE the way my rocks are aranged and want to redo them but with the living things in there its hard. I dont want to crush anything.
I am curious would it hurt anything if I pulled out a couple of the rocks and put them in a bucket so I have more room to work with or would that cause changes to the water?

any advice on doing this would be great. the corals are happy and I dont want to cause any harmful changes and screw up my tank but I need a rockscape that I like before we add fish in a couple weeks. thanks

Depending on how much detritus is in your sand bed, you might kick up some nutrients. Shouldn't be too bad since your tank is only three weeks old. When I rescaped my tank, I took out some tank water and put it in a bucket, then put my "extra" rocks in the bucket to free up some room to work. Never had any problems. Just make sure the water in the bucket doesn't get too cold while you're working.

Might as well rockscape now. It'll be harder later on if you get even more neat stuff smile.gif
