Just picked up an ASM Mini-G skimmer for $140 (us.)..

this thing kiks butt!!!

the construction of the body itself IS a little "cheap",
and the riser tube could have a better sealing system....

BUT,

for the $, this skimmer is werth every dollar!

after 24hr's in my anemone tank, its pullin' this>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUPy4BKX2vs

I'll keep you posted as to how well this thing works in the long run.

Yeah the BM Nac6 is better. The ASM skimmers are not that good, because they used too small of a pump for most of their line up. That is why people kept mesh modding them.

i do agree that their skimmer looks really cheap. the material and the way it was put together just doesnt feel like a quality product, but more like a DIY skimmer with plastic bottles. also, i dont like how the drain for the skimmer is designed. you will have a lot of splashing and salt creep and not to mention another piece of foam to clean.

it seems that the bubble magus' skimmers uses much better material and are better constructed., i paid less than 100 bucks for my nac6a new =P
