Its approx 1" across, soft as opposed to hard. Acts the same way my Fromia have in the past... any one have a solid ID and more importantly... should it be in my tank !

And first glance I would agree, but I have never seen one at that size... How big will asternia's get ?

I would say that one on the hand is white with dark spots, vs mine dark with white spots. Yellow blotches on the end of each leg. I know there are literally 1000's of different Asternids out there. I just pulled out 15 of so from different zoanthind frags that have not been opening. They were also white with a few dark spots and 1/8"

I was not talking about matching the color, only the size. If I look at my hand, the ring finger that knuckle to knuckle length is about an inch, so the size would seem right with yours.

Ahhh, right on. Thanks...

Just compared this guy to one of the small dried out Asternids I have and its identical in coloration... sad.gif

Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Dried out Asternids that were all up in my Zoa's
