I just have a question about running my 8g with chemipure and purigen.

I have a 29g with the intank basket and fuge. I have chemipure elite and purigen with floss in the top of the basket. My tank water looks beautifully clear! Its only been in there for a day or so. smile.gif
I also have an 8g (my sons). we removed the balls and placed floss on the top of the 2nd chamber grate. after cycling we are planning on putting chemipure (maybe not the elite though?) in this tank also. dont seem to need the mediabasket though since we can place floss on the top grate and the chemipure on the false floor. does that make sense?
My question is do i need to use the purigen? can I just place it on top of the chemipure? is there even room for all this in such a small tank?

any help would be appreciated! Thanks

i ran both in my 8G BC. worked fine. media basket is cheap and will help you a lot. if you decide against it, then yes, you can put one on top of the other.

the more filtration, the better (in most cases).

Not meaning to get off subject but I have been having awesome results on my tank running just Pura cut to fit filtration pads.
This is all I have been using. No skimmer or other filtration.
