I was wondering if you could ever use to much chemi-pure elite?

I like to fill my back chambers slap full of it. I probably have 9 units back there. The water is clearer than the vacuum of space and shimmers like a field of glistening snow.

It is in some way going to remove trace elements, minerals, AA , and other goodies slightly. Its a non specific absorbant. Standard WC and only using around the recommended amount won't cause problems with this though.

no not really, if you are on this site than you can really only fit so much in an area.

Chemipure elite has granular ferric oxide in it (same stuff as phosban). You can use too much GFO in a tank. Keep an eye on your alk and PH if you plan on using a lot of the stuff.

No idea myself, but I would be weary about using too much of anything in my reef tank.
I have used too much Seachem phosguard before and had negative results.
As mentioned above, you would have to keep an eye on your parameters.
Might seem OK to use excess for a short time, but what would the long term results be?
And having to do excess water changes to replenish what may be stripped out by the excess, well, might as well just do the excess water changes and leave the Chemi-pur out, save a few bucks and get the same if not better results. Providing that you are using quality water to mix with.
