Hi all, once again I come seeking wisdom from the experienced..

I just setup my 20H and have been looking into what I'd like to add for my CuC and other inverts.

I've been doing quite a bit of reading up on shrimp. Initially, I wasn't planning on getting more than two (pistol w/ a goby, skunk cleaner), but lately, after all I've read, that's changed a bit. Here is what I am considering getting, with the reason in parens.

I've heard shrimp can be not so pleasant due to the fact that they can feed on some of the microorganisims in the sand/LR that is valuable to the tank. However, it seems like there are some positive benefits as well. Since it's all rather confusing, I hope you guys can shed some light smile.gif

Potential list:
-1x Pistol (paired with goby, hopefully)
-2x Skunk Cleaner (keep reading to keep them in pairs)
-1x Blood Red Fire (Looks great, gets a long well)
-1x White Spot Anemone (further down the line, if I can get a nem)

Seems like it might be too much. Let me know what you think, thanks!

That sounds great to me. Would should like to see this happen smile.gif . Is the pistol going to be a candy cane? Any other might be a problem.

Yeah, having checked out potential goby mates, I'll probably go with the candy cane pistol. Will try to pair him up with a Randalli goby.

Any other thoughts on this setup? My main concern is them picking at things I'd rather them not. Is this something that can be handled by proper feeding or is it really not a concern at all?

And, while we're at it, what are hermit suggestions? I almost don't want any from what I've been reading. But then, on the otherhand, it seems one or two scarlets may actually be beneficial.
