RESONANCE
Just wondering if amphipods prey on copepods. I notice far more amphipods than copepods in my tanks - in fact, I rarely notice copepods now, even though I haven't added any fish until today.

yes, and that happens. you tend to only have one pod creature dominate at any one time. diversity of microfauna breaks down over time etc...
RESONANCE
Another reason to hate amphipods mad.gif. Was hoping to grow a large copepod population for a possible future purchase of a mandarine goby. Not gonna happen from the looks of it.

I wouldn't give up on it

I would worry more about the larger predator's then just the amphipods imo you can have a vary large pod popution along with a amphipod population if you want

it help's to feed them phyto so they breed faster then they are consumed along with large predator free zones

one of the many reason's why copeopods don't spread fast enough in the system is because when they are first born they prefer a very small type of food
