So I have a Gramma Basslet and yellow clown goby in a 5.5gal. I'll be going away for a week and was wondering.... Do I need to get someone to feed them? Or will they be fine. I've left the gramma without food for a week...but the goby is smaller, and supposed to be fed smaller meals more often throughout the day.

Just wondering how long she'll be ok without food. I was planning on having my fiancee stop by once or twice when I'm gone to feed them (I would have the food pre-measured and crushed...to avoid over feeding (goby needs it crushed..small mouth).

So basically...will they be fine alone? with 1 or 2 stops in throughout the week? or will they need more? (specifically worried about the goby).

P.S. water change day before I leave, and as soon as I get back tongue.gif

Bump Bump, still curious as to whether they'll be ok for a week without food or not.

If they take pellets/flake you can buy small automatic fish feeders that rotate on a timer and dump food in each little compartment in. I'm facing the same dilemma and am not quite sure what I'm doing yet, although I know mine won't be fine for a week straight.

Alright...thanks for the responses, I think I'll get someone to come by once, mid-week to feed/check in on the tank (the timer on the lights has been getting stuck on "off" sometimes).

Sometime i take the more advance corals and fish to a friend house and set up a small tank so it wouldnt be a hassle for them to swing by every single day. but the more beginner/hardy fish that eat once a week i let someone swing by once a week.

Thanks again for the responses, I've been talking to my GF and she's agreed to drop in a few times through-out the week to check on them...she doesn't keep any fish tanks herself...so I'm well aware to make the instructions VERY clear...I've heard a lot of horror stories about people getting other people to take care of their tank tongue.gif.
