Been about 2 months now since I gave up on trying to keep the ph monitor calibrated and a stable ph in the tank.
I unplugged the monitor and set my testing on calcium/alk/mag instead.
After reading a couple articles that pretty much all said the same thing, fluctuations in ph levels in the home reef are fine and not something to get in a frazzle about, I decided to unplug the monitor and not worry about it any more.
The results.

I have no idea what my ph is and don't care any more.
And are you going insane trying to keep your ph stable? Testing, recalibrating, spending coral money on different buffers and other miracle powders/liquids?
Forget it. Don't need it.
Give yourself a break! Enjoy your reef and let the ph fall where it will.
Concentrate on your magnesim, calcium and alk levels and your tank will thrive (provided you are using a good water source for water changes/top-off)
