nice idea if i was to i would get a mantis shrimp honestly they freak me out but the only problem is i thought i could only get a few fish so how entertaining could that really be also would those predators be reef safe. also to add on to yours yes scooter blennys do kick ass.

I had a predator tank in a 55 gallon once. Not quite as cool as I thought it would be, although I was new to the hobby (long time ago) and didn't know what I was doing and got all my info from the LFS.

I had a Lionfish, Lunar Wrasse, Niger Trigger, Picasso Trigger, etc.

They were very pretty and active fish but man they tried to kill each other and they decimated everything I put in the tank. The Picasso Trigger was the meanest fish I've ever seen.

well you could do a fw, im doing that with a free 20 long in an amazonian river biotope. the nice thing about freshwater is you can really load up with a lot of cheap cool fish like schools of cory cats or tetras. i know this is so blasphemy.

dont worry i still love my reef tongue.gif

My 55 has Maroon clowns, a niger trigger, a lawnmower blenny, and a dwarf lion as soon as my LFS is done QTing him. I'm thinking about a Mantis shrimp also, I don't really want to add much sand though, so the shrimp is still up in the air.
