Was wondering where one could buy the 6x3W LED strips for a custom LED project. Since more than one company is now using these in their fixtures I am sure someone is selling them.

Good question. I'm guessing nanotuners may sell them, but it would be nice to be able to shop around. Anyone know the Edison Opto part numbers by any chance?

Foster and Smith have some LED strips on their site, not sure if they are 4 or 6 bulb strips

Call Chris or Nick at Nanotuners. They may be able to set you up.
Edison isn't sold retail in the US because of a licensing agreement they have with Cree (they use Cree technology). They are sold to OEMs like us, but not retail to consumers.

Thanks. Any ideas on part numbers? I'd like to read up on these a bit more.
Thanks!

No. Edison Opto has basic info on their site about the strips, but you can order them in a lot of different configurations.

I had seen the info on their site, just not sure what the relevant options are, so I was just hoping for some help getting aimed at the right one.
Thanks again.

Well, the only way you are going to get them is through Nanotuners, so you only have three options (blue, white, 50/50). Edison doesn't sell these to the public.

It looks like I have a friend that may be able to get me some Edison LED strips. Can anyone confirm that these are the correct part numbers based on the part number matrix here:
http://www.edison-opto.com.tw/products_det...y=1&cno=235ftp://59.124.8.220/ftp/Datasheet/Module/E...dule_Eng_v4.pdfFrom what I see I'm lookling at these
EMLW-A11000C-063F Cool White 3W
EMLB-A11000C-063F Blue 3W
Does that sound right?
Thanks for any input.

Try to get ROYAL blues. They will look better than the standard Blue.

Wait... do these have a heat sink, etc.? After you get these, what else do you need?

they are just a board format of the LED. They still need some sort of thermal managment.
