since joining this site ive found out that my sandbed is not so "aerobic" its about 2.5 inches deep and i would like to remove some. how would i go about doing this? should i put my zebra goby and shrimp in another container while i do it? then just wait for stuff to settle and replace them?

its a 5.5g tank by the way.

I would just siphon some out a little at a time during your wc. I have dont that here with my 75 and as long as you dont disturb too much at a time you should be okay.
