So I have decided to put a fuge in my rear center chamber on the 28gal MH nano. The tank has been up for 16months and I have following corals in my tank

Duncan
Mushrooms
Kenya
Zoas.

Fish

TR Clown
Pink Damsel

Mantis Shrimp

My question is are all the muds out there the same or is one better than the reset? Also, looking for any other suggestions or tips on a fuge...

Thanks
Colione
I've never used mud, but I hear it's a crock.

I threw some sand in the back of mind along with some rock and cheato. Check the tank thread for more info.

don't use mud. it'll get sucked into the pumps constantly and make a giant mess. just put some chaeto in. I've been using chaeto for a few weeks now and my pod production has doubled.

Is there a issue with running a skimmer with the fuge?

Do you have a lite on your chaeto?

Yup sure do. Wedged behind the tank. on a reverse light cycle (on when the main lights are off)

I got the new Nano LED Glo and I also have some chaeto...Still have not decided on mud or sand...

So my chaeto is doing well, lots of bubbles coming from it but I still have a green algae issue on my glass. I think I am going to stop with adding marine snow and phytoplankton...I only have the chaeto in my middle chamber with the nano glo light on 24/7..
