It's reef safe, but if they don't mention the maximum diameter of the substrate it could be crushed coral...

its funny how it says 100% calcium carbonate when u clearly see bits of rubble in it...
live sand shouldnt be something u skimp out on. like heaters/pump/salt/light.

@coolwaters: I'm just purchasing dry sand since I'm going to have live rock. I keep reading back and forth on the live vs dry sand debate so I'm just going to stick with dry.
I'll examine it and see how big and what it is when it comes in. it only cost 8 bucks so it's not too big of a deal if it ends up being crap.

Finally put this in in my tank the other day, the pieces are moderately small, biggest pices being about the size of a half-grain of rice, maybe smaller). Whether or not the coral will trap nutrients only time will tell, but i'll be sure to post updates.

i got stuff like this from my lfs and posted on the forums before i put it in.... i took it back and got sand good luck
