I just found what believe to be eggs hanging off the underside of one of my peppermint shrimp. Thought it was pretty cool if they are in fact that. I will try to get some pics of them for a better ID. I need to do some research on this to see what the chances are. I will keep updating this as I find out. They are cream colored and about 20 are exposed, while the rest you can see inside the transparent body. They are about half the size of a ball point pen.

When I first got my peppermint it also had eggs attached. It ended up being some natural, free fish food.

I think someone on here was breeding cleaner shrimp, it would be really cool to breed peppermints! I know it's not easy though...

Breeding and rearing Peppermint shrimp has been done and is quite easy, but that's not the case with other shrimps; sure you can get them to spawn, but the mechanism of getting the larvae pass meta is currently unknown to the public.

plenty of info on it over on MOFIB. Matter of fact I believe peps made it on the breeder challenge this year. They wont last in your tank no matter what. Instant fish food like mentioned earlyer. You would have to use a larvae collector or collect them manually or transfer the pep to a kreisel or something and remove it as soon as they hatch.

I got some pics but I think they are gone now...Sad but I'll keep an eye out for them. There is plenty of rock to hide so hopefully thats the case. I not terribly hopeful after all I read but I'll keep updating if there are any updates.

I have a pregnant Bumble bee shrimp as well. They are really small and first hatch disappeared; now I 'm buying a breeder basket (the one netted) because I saw she's carrying eggs again. Good Luck!
