What's with them all hanging out in the same top corner of my tank? Are they herding or something? Surely they have to get hungry and go eat at some point, right? They've been there since I put them in, lol.

I overheard them talking about you. Do not underestimate the power of the angry nerite.

They are nocturnal, mine do the same thing during the day. I guess they kind of all pick the best corner and nap together, perhaps they feel group naps are safer than solo naps, no idea. At night they annoy the hell out of me sometimes since they are intertidal too. A few decide that outside the tank is better than inside and once they make it to the rim of the tank they drop right to the carpet. The cat loves it. So in the morning I have to check the floor for snails.

hmm...but when I look when the lights are off, they are still in that stupid corner!

colony snail....break up the fun and target them on rocks that they can help out on. snails arent the smartest critters and can have trouble finding algae to eat, and will get lazy if they dont think they can find food. nocturnal is also true, they also are much less active if the tank temperature is low, but I dont think you keep it that low.

i think i may bump them back to lid only status...that would get annoying to fight with the cat. they survive, but still....

this makes sense. the water is mid 70s - not exactly sure what. i've been meaning to get a better heater, but i'm lazy.

i'll make them go eat.
