I was just wondering what type of filtration you all recommend for a 20l frag tank? Right now I have an ac20 fuge an hob from my jbj 3 gal. I was thinking of using the ac for a fuge and put some carbon in the other. What do you think?

Do you have any LR in the tank?

I have a 20L build going on right now. I choose to drill for a sump. Although I didn't anticipate all this thinking I've been doing on this project.
You could just use a skimmer and do weekly water changes instead of using a filter. The live rock is a form of filtration already.

Can I just use a small Skimmer and do weekly water changes and keep the tank running okay? I just want the params to be in check. Do I need to use cheato or not?

You do not need cheato to keep everything in check. Make sure all your levels read properly and make it a ritual to do water changes. You will be fine.

Assuming no fish or other livestock than coral, live rock isn't needed anywhere near as much. This also assumes you're not feeding the coral. If you are, then I would say at least 1lb per two or three gallons.. plus a skimmer, and water changes weekly to keep necessary nutrients up

HOB is sufficient for your frag tank. Also, put some power heads in there as well.
