I'm still learning, and am considering trying to make a career out of it

good luck with all those weddings.

Thanks, and I'm sure I'll need it. Luckily, I don't live like a king, and it won't be my only source of income. My current job gives me every other weekend off, leaving room for weddings. The amount of "comp-time" I accrue (paid time off) is unreal. This translates into even more time off to shoot weddings.

I have spoke to many wedding photogs, and I seem to be hearing from most that you get burned out quickly. I am just trying to find something I enjoy, and turn it into a career. It's just another attempt at finding my calling.

I don't think I lasted even 6 whole months.

Then again, I know people who have been doing it for 5-10 years, and still love it. I guess it largely depends on your HR skills and how well you can deal with people with their snoody attitudes. tongue.gif

If the photog doesn't work, I can always give video a try. I have experience in that. Actually, I have more experience with video than photography.

I just got this mental pic of how I would expect D to deal with ppl's "snooty attitudes", I totally lol'ed!!
Sorry D.

I can give you a whole list of things to do if you are bored. tongue.gif

Nice pic, you know there are other things in the tank aside from it.

Continuing the silly shots from the aquarium...

2:1 of a paly (macro @ 1:1 + 2x TC). increased contrast and adjusted white balance only in PP. doesn't really look this nice, unfortunately.

pointillism is neat imo.

Ooooooooooh

I was playing with the 100mm and teleconverter the other day... must try more!

Oh I think it's funny because the pictures really aren't bad at all, not bad enough to get embarrassed over at least tongue.gif

figured it was time to mention the only reason for embarrassment over that thread...the number of bad hdr images produced because of that thread far outweighs the number of good hdr images i may have produced sad.gif

almost like i've given people an easy path to success at poorly executed hdr
