This is the orginal rockscape we were trying to obtain... it's a little different from this but we really wanted the large pedestal piece to be the center of attention. The only way we were able to do this was drilling the live rock and running fiberglass rods through different points.. this was a real pain in the ass but I think it'll be worth it long run.

This is what the rockscape ended up looking like after some adjustments for better stability

Here's our sea hare, by far the best member of our clean up crew, I would not want to run a tank without one of them again.

We knew we wanted a pair of clowns for our tank and talked about doing picassos, in the end I couldn't justify spending that much money on a pair of clowns. The next day we went into a LFS and found this pair of black misbarred for a good price.

This is our bubbletip, and so far has been wandering around the tank and I think has just found their spot today inside of a nice hollowed out rock.
Next two pictures I was going to stick in the ID forum, but figured i'd ask here since it's pertinent to the tank. Yesterday we drove out to schaumberg to check out a shop we haven't been to in a few months (the name escapes me right now), they had some really nice stuff and my wife eyed a pulsing xenia in a tank at the back of store. The tank just looked overgrown with cloves and waving hand and it looked like the xenia was growing on a stick. The store owner upon bagging it for us told us the stick was actually a gorgonian that had went downhill so he just dropped it in that tank.

Once we got it home and into the tank it started opening up some which it hadn't at the store. When we woke up this morning it was open twice as much and it seemed to be "shedding" which you can kind of see in the picture. Never had a gorgonian before, or really read about them for that manner just know that aren't photosynthetic so if anyone can potentially ID this or give me some pointers i'd really appreciate it, id like to be able bring this back since it seems to be showing me some positive signs.
I also bought a small frag of monti cap and when I was feeding today I noticed bristly arm reach out from under the cap to get some food and figured it was just another bristle worm.. but then I saw another... and another. Pulled the frag out and broke the cap off the plug to find this.

It's tiny, and I couldn't really get a very good picture of it, but it looks like a little serpent star. I know some people really like these guys, others not so much and that they can potentially prey on slow moving fish or drop onto them... not sure how far fetched that is, but if it's got the slightest bit of truth I doubt i'll be interested in keeping it.
If anybody has any advice or comments on anything i'm all ears, this isn't my first reef tank, but 8 - 60 is a big jump.
