I'm ditching my bioballs in my Biocube 29 and want a fuge back there. I plan on having a media rack and fuge rack next to eachother, but can they be alone? I only run chemipure so I would have a pretty naked media rack.
StevieT
Sure, you can run these many of ways.

If you want more of a fuge I would run filter floss, chemi pure then the chaeto in the fuge basket. If you want to go super nuts use the other shelf for more chaeto.
Nemo Niblets
So I can go with just the fuge rack? I'll probably still go with the media rack. It just seems like a waste of space for my needs.
StevieT
You can but I wouldn't. I find that having 100% of your water hit filter floss first has huge benefits to water clarity and nitrate prevention. It's up to you but I rarely sell the fuge basket alone.

Alright... if I want a fuge AND skimmer, what do I do? biggrin.gif
StevieT
You have to go with the media basket then. The fuge basket will not work with any skimmer and chaeto will get sucked into the pumps.

Alright.... I think I will go with the media/fuge rack combo. I'll throw in some purigen for the heck of it too. Thanks for the help Stevie!
