happydance.gif MJ came over to play. Ty did you get your brownie? Richie added small chunks of pruine to it to help keep the old monkeys regular. Oh as well as his usual colorz audahative. tongue.gif

Duh you just go to Frisch's Big Boy and buy one. Then get your best friend B and one fork. Dive in, then get sick. biggrin.gif

What is this Frisch's Big Boy? Do they put Gran Marnier in their pumpkin pie? Oh heck, just give me the fork either way.

You boys have fun with the prunes. tongue.gif Guess neither of you have mandated low flush toilets in your areas. Ah yes, water preservation at its finest here on the east coast. Save 3gallons per flush, then waste 25 more trying to unclog the toilet. huh.gif

Oh snap you are old. Once you get branded as That Guy its all down hill from this point forward. But your not alone. I actually called the cops on a neighbors party. Only catch was all the cops were there partying. Man you should have seen the captain when he showed up because no black and whites answered the call. The fit hit the shan.

Dude when did you get the Super Sucker 2010 dot 30! PLEASE tell me you got the upgraded heated seat with the ventilator!

Nope dont need the fridge. Thats what my live in nurse "HELLO NURSE" is for. I already have those shows in HD. I had to get a 52 OLED tv. I couldnt see the 42 plasma and it was only 3 feet away. Dang old eye.

I just had it put in a couple of months ago. I started flushing small things down the drain first to try it out, but when it was able to suck down a toaster, I knew I had a winner!

Of COURSE I got the heated seat with a ventilator. I also spared no expense and got the optional oxygen tank mounted for those days I forget to take my fiber! huh.gif

Dude I live 20 mins from Bardstown KY. Do a quick google search about that place and bourbon. PARTAY CENTRAL...

spent some time in Bardstown.
went to grad school with a guy from there... family name = Gaines

and i LOVE bourbon wub.gif
i guess that was the hazard of living in Lexington for 4 years.
personally, i'm a Winkle Family Reserve man myself or Basil Hayden... have trouble finding the former regularly.
did get my hands on some Ruth Hunt bourbon balls recently though -> gotta love chocolate and Woodford together... mmmm

pretty sure i'm not That Guy yet though...
i'm the one on my block still throwin the parties -> we're talking back yard keggers with bands
but i do make sure to personally inform my neighbors and invite them (to ward off visits from The Man)
i guess that qualifies as old monkey-like behavior, though...

beyond all that i'm goin' on 33 and just set up my first reef.

Ok, your an old monkey if:

1. You know atleast one tv show from the 80's
2. You used to have to get up to change the tv channel.
3. Your definition of playing with friends was going outside.
4. You used a rotary phone at sometime.
5. You listened to cassette tapes or had a record player.

damn, old monkey it is!
ap123
The '80's? Honey, those are still new shows. wink.gif

I remember how cool it was when cassettes came out for the general public. So much more portable than 8-tracks. Being able to make your own tapes? Walkmans? Priceless.

Sorry Don, but I have to do a bit of editing, based upon my own life....here we go...

Ok, you're an Old Monkey if:
1. You regularly watched several tv shows in the 60's
2. You only recently got rid of your last tv that you had to get up to change channels on.
3. I will go along with this one
4. Okay with this tee.
5. You can remember when 8 Tracks replaced the little reel to reel tapes.
thecowkid
Wow this thread has blown UP! happy to see that.

Hey Don good to see that you finally found your way home. For one I have done all in your list in my life time. But you left out the 8 tracks.. and beta players being way better than your moms reel to reel player. Tisk tisk.

I wish I could quote back to all the response but I cannot. So I will paraphrase it.

Bourbon is GREAT! Esp if its from KY. Mix it with chocolate and its even better.

Vintage video games are NOT OLD. My KISS pinball machine is old.

MJ is an old monkey. tongue.gif Logan so are you! Did you go to grad school at UK? Oh not a hazzard of living there, just one of the finer things we have to offer in KY.

All the shows you have mentioned are the greatest. But I am ashamed with all of you. How did you leave out WKRP in Cinci, The Dukes of Hazzard, Cheers, and The A Team? "Ah Lonnie Anderson!" wub.gif

I was born in '71 so Disco was the thang and I remember that Galaga machine!! that would be my next choice! Then Asteroids laugh.gif

That begets the question--didya have a banana seat?

Loved Sanford and Son. I'm coming to join you, 'lizbeth! Wasn't Chico and the Man, but it was great.
In its heyday, All in the Family was cutting edge. The sound of a toilet flushing during primetime? Gasp! And then a few years later, Soap. Classic.

I likey that law. Pharm school. Well thats above my head. I went to Purdue and majored in OLS Organizational Leadership and Supervision . Blah blah. Back to the goods.

Once ever 3-4 years a few friends of mine and myself go to the distillers and buy a few old wiskey or bourbon barrels. Then we fill it up about half way with distilled water. Then let her bake. Once every few days we will go out and roll/flip the barrel around. After about 6 months you have some of the smoothest barrel wiskey or bourbon that you have ever had. Oh and its about 60 proof.

Back to our age debate. I so had the Knight Rider Big Wheel, and oh oh the Chips motorcycle. I was so stylin. That ##### had a real PA system on it.

Old Monkey as a child remembers:

1. Waiting for the new weekly episode of Gilliagan's Island and wondering why Ginger had such a large chest.
2. Dreaming of that cool Schwinn 'Lemon Peeler' or 'Cherry Picker' bicycle.
3. Getting excited about a new tetra tank with plastic plants, a 'pirate skeleton-in-the-chest' decoration and artificially colored gravel.
4. LA proper still had orchards and farmers...and vacant lots to have dirt clod fights with your friends.
5. 'Fun' was putting together puzzles of the United States, Europe, etc....over and over and over again.

See what all you youngsters missed? biggrin.gif
inkman317
How bout kick the can, stick ball, chase.Or when there was more than one petshop in town that was family owned.
thecowkid
Scott I once left my ramps out on the street. The friggin mail truck ran over them. We lived on a dead end street so it wasnt strange to leave the ramps up while eatin lunch.
Do any of you remember the Yamaha pedal bikes? I had one that was fully suspended with the same fork tubes and coil overs as the 150 dirt bikes. Man that thing was heavy. But the banana seat was so cool. Who needed helmets, we didnt have cement or asphault to ride on. You fell off, spit on the cut, rubbed that off, then laughed "cause you were way to cool to cry in front of your friends" Then you kept on riding.

So who had the little plastic box with Mexican Jumping Beans in it? Now those were cool. I had GI Joe when he was still 12" tall. He was a real ACTION FIGURE!
