Hello, let me just say first I'm not asking how to move my tank, just a particular question about the sand I'll be using when I set it back up.

I'm about to move my 12g nano from my home in VA back to my school in NY. I had purchased a 20lb back of black tahitian moon sand from DF&S and had been using that. When I first moved the tank from NY to VA, what I did was just throw out the sand in the tank and use the leftover sand I had from before (I used about half and saved half). This worked out fine since the sand was not live (it was dry).

Now, I ordered what I thought was the same sand from DF&S since I'm now out. Little did I know it's no longer the same stuff...

I'm not sure this if this live or not but its certainly not dry and the bag says it contains buffers and "helpful bacteria" (tongue.gif) which are contained in packets I would cut and pour in... Is this safe for me to use in my tank when I reset it up? I assume if it is I would not use the packets of buffer/bacteria

Should be no problem to use this sand.
