I recently bought a open brain, i believe its doin great.. my 2 questions are..

Its feeders are ALWAYS extended is this ok??

and i recently put a small wrasse(1"1/4) or so in size in the tank, it was still swimming when i went to sleep.. but when i woke up it was GONE, have not seen it in 2 days..

Is it possible that the brain ate it? its feeders are pretty sticky....
this pic was taken today, and its still has feeders showing, and i still am missin a wrasse..

LMK what u think!

Most pictures of open brain don't seem to have the feeders out, so I would assume having them out 24/7 is abnormal. It definitely could have eaten your wrasse, but then again new fish always hide. Maybe the brain coral is still hungry. How much have you been feeding it?

That is a very nice looking brain!

Brains certainly can eat small fish, and the tentacles are capable enough to pull them in, but any healthy fish can and should be able to wriggle free. I am going to guess that your fish is still in the tank, just hiding and roaming when you're not looking.

Wrasses are notorious for hiding in the crevices of rockwork that you didn't even know existed, don't count him out just yet!
