I'm actually 4 weeks into this process, but have had a number of issues which have delayed me.

1 - After purchase of tank and stand, had a weeks delay getting the right fittings because of missing parts.
2 - Now that I had all the parts, I discovered that the pumps were WAAY to powerful (LFS recommendation).
By my calculations they were pushing 1765 GPH. Another weeks delay to get new pumps. On the up
side LFS made it right - they even did the swap for me. New pumps pushing 1250 GPH
3 - mad.gif Live Rock purchase (what a nightmare) - I wanted to start with dry rock, so I ordered 100 lbs. from
justliverock.com - received confirmation of order next day. Three days later still no scheduled ship date.
Sent email requesting ship date and left voicemail the same. Two days later still no response from either.
At the end of the third day sent email cancelling the order. Could not leave voicemail as "the mailbox is
full". Next day received email and voicemail stating that the order would ship on Monday - they had a
"family emergency" but business was back to normal. Replied to email stating that if they provide me
with trackable shipping information and shipped on Monday - the order was reinstated. Monday came
and went - no email. Again called - voicemail "mailbox is full". Sent an email cancelling the order.
received lame email - again "family emergency". Decided to go with a close by vendor (~40minutes).
Ordered the rock for a Saturday pick up. Friday afternoon received phone call stating that the rock had
not arrived (REALLY heavy SIGH). Stated that they could have it on Tuesday for me. Sheduled it for
Friday (today) pick up. Haven't received phone call yet.

I started making RO/DI water this morning for the live rock to cure in. I'll continue this thread later as my timer just went off to switch RO/DI fill tanks.
