Whats a coldwater?
ryeguy28
and im not realy saying im going to its more ( is it posable )
Lalani
You said you were starting your first tank last month. huh.gif
I'm not trying to pick on you or anything, but you need to slow down and do one project at a time. 2 months is not a long time. Give it 6 months or a year before you say it's a successful tank.

first nano tank

its fine im just asking if its posiable

like if the heat from the light would kill the efforts of the fans/ chiller
or if any cold water ( fish, inverts ( nems), or any coral can thrive in a tank of this size
PolypGardener
Why would you waste time and money (especially on a chiller) for a 1.25 gallon cold water tank? I think the cold water tank is a great idea, but because of the expense of the obviously much needed chiller, why not do a 30-40 gallon tank. But if pico is your thing.....

It's possible, but you'll need to research A LOT (haha).
No fish, maybe a snail or limpet, and some strawberry nems.
Sushi
nothing is impossible, but keeping params stable especially temp fluctuations down to coldwater levels will be challenging. i would say up the volume....
Jacobnano
And only a few people have access to things like that cool.gif

Also, theres a lot more info out there about warmwater.

If you want to know about an actual coldwater instead of having people tell you not to it doesnt really matter what size tank you have. The only major difference is that it takes longer to cycle in some cases and depending on where you collect your livestock can require a chiller. I started with a 7 gal no chiller tidepool tank when i started coldwater.
