yeah I figured that out right after I posted, didn't feel like deleting. we don't get a lot of chipmunks out this way, lol.

i'm trying to follow the rule of thirds more but i'm not sure i'm doing it right. any assistance is appreciated. for the bee pic, i tried to center the bottom-left point on the head. the fly was the top left point.

compositionally it's fine. fly is facing away though, that makes it hard to connect with an already hard to connect with subject. as for following the rule of thirds, there's not really much to get. aligning subjects with lines and intersections is a good starting off point, but in the end the call is yours as to what the best composition is.

also, I feel like I'm talking to a noob, lol. there's nothing wrong with your photography. laugh.gif
DHaut
i tried asking the fly to face me for a better shot, but you know how flies can be.
VicSkimmr
Those last 2 are great! I like that the fly has space to move into, I think the composition is great tongue.gif

hey, we can't all be fly whisperers. less justifications, more photography! tongue.gif
