I will be moving at the end of the month, and I've decided my 10 gallon setup will be my bedroom tank. My roommate has OK'd a larger tank for our living room (or wherever), and now I need to decide what to do with that...

I have a trimless 29 gallon sitting here (30l x 12w x 18h) but the bottom is tempered. I thought about doing an AIO, making the display area 24 x 12 x 18, and I would probably do a LPS and macro dominated reef if I went this route. My intended 'showpiece' fish would be a Sunrise Dottyback (Pseudochromis flavivertex), who would be the last fish in. Other fishes would be a Talbot's Damsel (Chrysiptera talboti), Purple Firefish (Nemateleotris decora, have him already wink.gif ), and possibly one other small (3" or so) fish with light, subtle colors (my theme here, as you can see).

I could also track down (or go to the city and buy) a new tank, I'd aim for ~50 gallons (down to 30 and up to 55, depending on dimensions). And in that case I'd aim for an SPS, photosynthetic gorgonian, and clam reef (with some dendros and zoas thrown in for good measure). Any suggestions as to commonly found sizes of tank that I might be interested in? Or stocking suggestions to try for a new, larger tank? I'd like something less... nano, I guess, but just as interesting to look at on a larger scale.
