I think my cycle is finally over after 20 long days. My nitrites spiked and have been 0 for 3 days. I'm getting my CUC in a week from reef-cleaners.org. My big worry is my water temp. It goes anywhere from 78 up to 88 throughout the day. Do i have to buy a chiller or can i set the heater at 85 and have my range be 85-88? Here a link to the chiller i am looking at if i have to go that route. Is it compatible with my BC14.

You might also consider a heater and a fan. If you can keep the temps stable within a couple degrees in the low 80s, you should be fine.

You want your temp to be 78-80, not 85-88

My tank stays in the 80-82 range. No problems. You need stability.

Can i add Chemi-pure to my filtration now that I'm cycled? Should i keep the carbon in there also?

Your right about stability and your 80-82 is fine, but 85 is high

On the high side, yes. But most tropical reefs I've been diving on have been as warm as 84-85. Again, I do not recommend keeping your tank there, but it isn't all that uncommon in the wild.

How do you set up the chiller do I need to mod my BC?

Out of these two what is the better deal.
