Welcome to N-R.com.
I feed mine once to twice a day. Try feeding small pellets to them singly. You'll soon get a good idea about how much they can eat. Also, clowns don't seem to do much foraging, so if it sinks all the way to the bottom. Chances are they aren't going to eat it.

I was also wondering about this. What should I give them for treats? Brine?

Sorry, im a new reefer!

for treats i give my clown live brine shrimp which i raise and feed appropriately so they retain high levels of nutrients. silverside flesh soaked in garlic, and mysis soaked in garlic. They love it all

Also on a note of clown foraging, i see my clowns picking pods off the glass and rock all the time. If a piece of food hits the bottom its true they wont go after it but if water currents stir it back up, my clown usually grab it.

I have 3 in 2 tanks about 1 1/2 to 2" and they eat about 10 pellets each followed by a small pinch of flake -the pellets are so small but meaty they even work great for everything from my Green Clown Goby to my six-line. I do Rod's food & frozen mysis once a week for fish/corals and once a month live brine gut loaded with live phytoplankton but I'm reviewing it and might stop or culture live mysis and gut load them copepods instead.

+1 on the Hikari pellets, my 2 clowns love them but hate flakes. I also supplement with varied frozen food 2x a week

I'm not getting my clowns till next month but wow this all sounds complicated. So I feed pellets daily and brine weekly?

Simple= eat only BigMacs for as long as you feed just one food to your clowns and see who gives in first?
Complicated= how I fed the fish while I volunteered at the National Aquarium- hit the kitchen before 8am and cut up a dozen varieties of foods mixing some into a slurry fresh fed every day. Many clubs still freeze slurries but I buy Rod's Food as my solution

Several foods = diversity of nutrients and less picky fish
ps- Brine sux

Rod's Food is the best... it's my tank's staple. You should be able to find it in specialty fish stores

How much and how often to you feed with it? Does it benefit any of your other livestock?

picture 5 pennys stacked....that bit my 30g tank gets daily....thawed and rinsed with warm tap water (held in brine shrimp net)

2 clowns, 2 firefish, 2 shrimp, 1 blenny.

In more detail I feed 10 Hakari Marine S and a few flakes /fish/daily
once week day before water change I feed one frozen cube mysis,1/2 cap of DT's phyto, and the same amount rods food( thawed in tank water in shotglass) with small turkey baster to corals and fish.

Rock out!
