I have a 29G Biocube. It loses a cup a day in evaporation. i dose 20ml of c balance a&b every day.

I need to have a set up for 4 days that will be easy for someone who doesn't know anything about tanks to take care of it.

i want to fill deli cups. 16oz take out cups with fresh water that has been mixed with c balance a &b so our friend can pour the make up water in every two days.

Will this work? Will the c balance loose its potency?

does it loose potency in the bottle?

thats a pretty good idea actuallly.....

i had a line drawn on the tank and told dude not to let it drop below this line, check everyday....etc...use only the jug of water provided....

the tank will crash after just four days without dosing? better to just have him top off and not dose at all than to have him potentially dose incorrectly, imo.

Will it loose potency because a and be have been combined in the fresh water?

My tank is pretty clock work on the evaporation. So i think it will be safe with setting up the deli cups labeled with the day to pour in.

I left for a week without feeding, dosing or topping off. Everything was actually pretty happy. You shpuld be fine without dosing.

I did have a water change ready to go as soon as I returned home

I'm not sure what's in the stuff you dose, but my only concern would be it dissociating from the water and into the atmosphere if it's something that can do that. I'd use containers with a lid and give specific instructions for feeding, etc.

You may want to tell them that if the water drops below a certain level and there isn't anymore water they should kill the lights. It helps to label cords they'll be unplugging. I've come up short on water and had my friend kill power on the MH lights and the sump and all was well when I got back.

if your talking about a two part supplement wont it just precipitate and combine since there is no magnesium to allow the super concentration of each one?

+1 wondering the same thing. Not familiar with the product mentioned above but if its an alk/cal supplement you won't be able to combine them, or even dose them within the same few hours of each other.
