I could use some help deciding on what to put in my 20 gallon. I have a Coralife 24" Aqualight Power Compact Strip Light( 2X65Watt). I am running skimmerless and do weekly 10% water changes. It is well cycled and awaiting two clownfish(should be available in 2 weeks). I would like to focus on one or maybe 2 corals( It is not imperative that the clowns host in them, but it would be nice if one of them lends itself to this). So I am hoping that you folks might have some ideas as to what would work well. I have considered the leathers and xenia combo., but wouldn't mind something with a little color(green star polyp). I saw a candycane coral for sale on my local forum and am trying to imagine what a tank full of those would me like. I saw a Galaxia once and thought it might look nice too. I don't have the experience to know how these corals will thrive in my kind system. I am open to any and all your ideas. Thanks

Dont get the Galaxia if you plan to put other corals near by. They have very long sweeper tentacles and WILL kill anything it touches.
Toadstool will be a good choice for a soft coral that the clowns may host.

How about different types of euphyllids (torch, hammer, frogspawn, etc.). They will also look very similar to anemones, and the clowns may decide to host them.

Thanks for all the great ideas. How hard are green star polyps to peel off the rock once they get established? Do they tend to out -compete other corals I hadn't really heard of the alveopora. I wonder if they would benefit from leathers the way Xenia have been said to. I just read that they can be difficult to keep in captive systems. Can anyone speak to this? Thanks again.

GSP is difficult to remove and it can "take over"
I like the xenia idea and many zoos...
Good Luck!
