That looks an aweful lot like an encrusting Goniopora that I got as a hitchhiker a while back. See if you can count the number of tentacles on one of the polyps. If it has 24, it's a Goniopora.

Porites are common HH, or maybe a monti of some sort.

There are actually multiple polyps, so "what are these" fits as well.

So I should probably break it off the rock and put it in more light then??

It's funny, it is a green zoa rock, and it came with that, a orange sponge, and a nice feather duster too.

You can see the feather duster top behind the "porites"

Here is the other pic of what is I think a sponge? Is it bad for my tank?
