Perfect for a pico tank...at 1.25" it is full grown!

I saw one that looked like that at a house I was buying a frag at. He reached his hand into the tank to grab it and it bit him. You could see it's teeth.

Sounds like a dottyback. If you read the reefkeeping mag articles on them one of the dottybacks were refered to as 5" of unholy terror.

I saw that and the red coloration really drew my attention. The more I looked at it, it reminds me of a betta.

"Pseudoplesiops wassi is described from 34 specimens, 17.7–28.8 mm SL, from throughout the
West Pacific."

That's 0.7 - 1.1"

That's pretty cool! Dottybacks are terrors, but they're so awesome. I wonder what would happen if someone put 4 or 5 different dottybacks in say a 40 breeder?
lakshwadeep
It would be something like battle royale.

I have never kept this genus of dottyback (Pseudplesiops) but by all accounts they are very un-dottyback like compared to Pseudchromis, Pictochromis, Manonichthys, etc. Much more secretive and shy except perhaps with congeners.
