On a frag tank 8-10" high and 36-48" Length. I will grow softies, LPS, Zoas, small amount of SPS.

If I go with a Metal Halide setup,

A. Would it be overkill?

B. Will I need a chiller?

C. Will I need more than one for the area?

Or should I just stick to T-5's, about 216 Watts?

I'd stick to t5's for the better light dispersal and color combinations. On my 12" deep frag tanks I'd keep zoanthids, SPS and LPS side by side under t5's with some great colors and growth!

As far as a chiller, are you going to be using a sump and can you have fans blowing over the tank?

I don't think you'll need the intensity of MH over such a shallow tank.

As long as you've got a sump then you can easily buy some el cheapo fans to hook up to it, no worries there smile.gif
