Will a modded ac 70 be enough for a 10g frag tank. I was also wondering if chaeto in tank is better then chaeto in fuge filter.

Run it in a reverse light cycle, stick a K-Nano or K-1 in the tank for extra circulation, and you'll be good to go.

What kind of light can i use?For it , It will be next to bed.

Alright so can i use any filter though. I was thinking about using one of those dual filters that have one on each side that would be really good.

I just put a ac70 on my 10g that I modded into a fuge.. I like it, it's quiet and there is more than enough flow, and enough space to put a heater and chaeto in there.

I also have a k1 in my tank, it's big and there is more than enough flow.. I think a nano would be efficient enough for a 10g.

I have a k nano and a seio 320gph. So why do i have to use a 50 hob filter that is aquaclear why can't i spend 50 on a dual huge filter with chaeto on oen side and lr on the other.

Should i have this with chaeto and some rubble along with rubble under the frag rack.

LR rubble can collect detritus, somewhat negating the benefits of keeping the chaeto.

Theres no real reason you CAN'T use some other brand of HOB and convert it to a fuge, the Aquaclears are just really popular because of their availability, size, ease of modification, spare parts availability, and reliability. You can easily mod one with just whats in the box, a tube of aquarium sealant, and a utility knife. If you decide to mod another filter, feel free to post up on here how you did it and how well it works for you, I'm sure there are others here that would be interested.

Quite the contrary, its the rubble size pieces that can become an issue especially if they are piled up together, if you can put larger pieces in the display of your frag tank, you should be golden.
