I have tons of this small shell looking stuff in my tank.
What is this??
They seem to hatch and then they are gone.

look like little sponges.

they look like nerite snails too me. try to get a closer pic if you can for a more accurate id.

I do have nerits, but this shells don't move... and they are hard shells... do sponges create hard shells?

Yep, Nerite eggs for sure.

I guess I forgot the "eggs" part. pretty vital but I'm about 99% sure those are nerite snail EGGS. I see mine laying em like that all the time.

not to hijack this thead or any thing but i have them to and thats what i thought they were i just wasnt sure but they showed up after i got the nerite snails thanks guys for anwsering my question i didnt even ask

If they are nerite eggs, where are my new snails?
They seem to hatch and I don't have any new snails showing up on my tank...
And these are everywhere in my tank... I mean... I got like at least 50 eggs all over the tank...
Do they take really long to grow and be visible and noticeable for the naked eye? Or they are being preyed by something else?
I did see some new snails, which are still tiny, that look like the usual colonista snail shell. Doesn't look like the nerite shell.
Oh well.... More snails is never bad.

Not all snail eggs will develop. I have ceriths that lay eggs every few weeks with no indication of success.

My nerite snails lay these suckers around my tank all the time, but never hatch.
