today i bought a small watchman goby and a red pistol shrimp. my question is, will the goby eventually find the shrimp?? i mean, is there a large chance they wont pair up?? the tank is 10 gallons with about 50 lbs of liverock so i would think that they are bound to meet up sometime. also, i have a six line wrasse, whom i believe is responsible for the mysterious disappearance of my cleaner shrimp.. is the sixline known to kill pistol shrimps?

believe it or not it sounds like more than it really is. this pic is the newest one i have.. i had around 40 lbs in it. ive since added some tonga and you know how heavy that stuff is. the rock is all the way against the back glass.

They will find each other eventually. It's possible they won't, but not very likely.

o man liking your tank and your light cover. you need to get a tank thread up unless you already have one that is. Looks a lot bigger than it actually is btw. As far as the goby/shrimp pair its really hit or miss.
Do you know by chance which exact watchman and pistol shrimp it is?

thanks. its changed alot though over time.. i built the light setup (6x18 t5ho, actually 3 current usa nova extremes gutted and installed in my diy canopy) and then added some sps. actually 11 sps lol. i do have a tank thread but after nano reef crashed and i lost a bunch of stuff, i lost interest. you can run a search on my name and find it. 2nd page title "10 gallon nano ". space is getting a little cramped in there. i have a 30 breeder i want to setup but waiting. lazy i guess. the additions were a yellow watchman (the one with the blue dots) and red pistol shrimp.

i believe they will find each other. i have had a candy pistol shrimp for about 6 months, i finally added a YWG last week and in 1 day he found the pistol shrimp. my ywg is a juvie too about a little over a inch i suppose.

thats why I had to ask what exact pistol you had. damn you common names! I'll hafta do a search for your thread. you should give yourself a nice xmas present and get that br set up lol nice tanks and i'm sure you could do something really cool with it.

there is no way you have 40 pounds in your 10 G there. maybe soaking wet with water. and you add a bit on the end. i had 30 pounds in a 20G and it was packed in the back and sides only the front was not touching glass.
