Mornin folks!

I bought a fluval Edge 6 gallon the other night. My plan is to have a bumble bee snail and blue clove polyp tank. Thats it! Its taking the spot of a beta tank in my kitchen, and trying to keep to design... I'll be making it as simple/clean as i can.

My question is... will the flow from this little bitty filter (hob) be enough to keep the tank turning? Or should i get a koralia nano or something similar?

The Fluval Edge filter has a flow control that can be adjusted from about 100 gph down to 33 gph

Considering the small size of the aquarium at 6 gallons (23L), the Fluval Edge Filter is more than adequate for maintaining very high water quality as the entire tank is cycled through the filter over 10 times per hour (official rating of the pump is closer to 100 gph).

Even with 100 gph, you will get a 16X turnover for the tank, which is low. However, it may be enough for the livestock you listed.

A koralia nano is one good choice.

Thanks!

I have a few plans for mods for this little fellow. But i think i will try a koralia first. I can always use another koralia in my other tanks if it turns out to be to much.

LR and Tank cycling now!

Sorry.. forgot the rule.. it didn't happen without pix!

(iphone... scuze the blurry)

No rock, but atleast its the tank... ill get a rock pic later.
