i haven't touched a fresh water tank in years but i'm considering this one for a planted tank with just a few neons. i'm so infatuated by this tank right now. you guys should check it out! it's brilliant! those who already owns one...let me know your praises and complaints. thanks

a member here has one and is converting it to salt water tank with LED lights

seems like a nice tank, but needs a bit of work

i heard the stock light sucks on them. the tank looks really cool though

Neons? gag me. That little tank would be great for some bumblebee gobies and a dwarf puffer (yes that's freshwater for all you reef onlyers out there) cool.gif. Get some harlequin rasboras if you want tetras, their color lines would shimmer pretty nice in the spotlight of that tank. Cherry shrimp would be cool too, just not with the puffer and gobies, that would not be pretty.

I'm not blasting what you're doing, I'm just saying that you could do way better than neons... Why settle for the moon when you could shoot for the stars?... Just my opinion. smile.gif

So, what kind of plants are you considering? I'm not sure what the wattage of that light is.

Overall it's a intriguing tank, good luck with it.

I'm not sure what the wattage is either, but I believe that the lights are halogen.. A lfs in pensacola has one as a nano FOWLR setup that would look ok minus the cyano.

Hi there.
I saw one setup at a local pet store ( no personal experience). But from what I saw there are a lot of bubbles that form on the top glass ruining the look of it. Maybe some high flow would push them away? Or i guess you could take a mag float to them when they start to form? And the light is kinf of in an awkward spot ( right over the back) making the front half of the tank look rather dim. But if you could mod it to solve these problems it would be pretty cool
