I have had my condyactis anemone for a few weeks now and was wondering what is wrong with it. It was doing good but today I came home and had turned a little black. The tentacles were also severely shrunken. I have it in a 5.5 gallon with a nova extreme 36 watt light and I feed it some chromaplex which I think is phytoplankton.
Should I be worried about it? Should I feed it anything else? It is about 10" now.

5.5 gallon.. how long has the tank been running? Nems require stable parameters and established tanks.
Phytoplankton? You've not done your research. Though they are photosynthetic, it needs a meat (silversides). FEED ME SEYMOUR..FEEEEEED ME...

Condylactis or
corynactis ?
If it's a condylactis, I suggest trading it in to a shop for some zoanthids or something similar. A condylactis in no way belongs in a 5.5g; they get huge, need more light, and put out large amounts of waste that would probably jack your nutrients through the roof. As well
when it dies your little tank will be something akin to a toxic waste dump.
If you want something that looks like an anemone, a florida ricordea might do better.

Take it back or flush it down the toilet now.

A 10" living creature in a 5.5g tank? tsk tsk.
+1 to trading it in. Much too big for the tank.

Sounds like you haven't been feeding (anemones don't eat plankton) or lighting it properly (, so I would say +1 to steviet. Are the tentacles clear?

I really hope it is a corynactis not a condy.

It looks like this
LINKCondylactis Gigantea
Dont worry I fed it shrimp and did a water change. Also I am getting a new LED light for my tank.

Anemones 'shrivel' or 'shrink' one to a few times a week to replace the water in their bodies, so this is possibly a normal process.
While the size of anemones can be regulated by how much/little you feed them, I would search for a larger home for it.
