My name is Chris Jung and I am the CEO of Nanotuners.com and Nanocustoms.com. It's our 5th birthday, and we are giving the gift to YOU!

For those of you who don't know me, I am a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for reefing and a STARTUP Junky. Combining my two favorite hobbies (surprisingly the 2 things the WIFE hates the most) was a dream come true.

None of this would be possible WITHOUT you, our Customers.

From our humble beginnings in my dining room to the economic bubble of 2007, we've been here with you every step of the way. Since then, tens of thousands of you have chosen to trust us with your Nano needs. It's been an honor serving you. The hours of phone calls, thousands of emails, and bitter disputes here at the shop (I call nick my second wife ) have all been worth it.

Our mission is simple. Give you the Performance, Products, and Support you have come to depend on.

I could go on and on about how hard we've worked to bring you products we are proud to put our name on. How tough the economy's been, how much I love the CNC machine, how we are using simulation tools to make these things perform in the computer before they are ever made, or how awesome our LED products are, but I'm gonna leave that to my 2 main dudes, Nick and Clive (evilc66).

You had to see the look the wife gave me when she came back from a family vacation 5 years ago and the living room had turned into a warehouse!!!

I don't think we've "made it big" yet, but the avenues are getting broader and broader. Working closely with bulb manufacturers, led manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, etc has all been a blast, but the best part of the day is when someone calls and says "good job.. Keep up the good work".

I haven't ordered from you in the past partly cause I've never owned an AIO and partly cause I'm almost always broke, but I have a very real appreciation for the level of customer service you clearly offer and for what you bring to this hobby.
Here's hoping that you continue to grow and expand and that you are around for much longer!

He is. I got lucky enough to live close to someone who was already into modding nanos. The dedication we both have to the company is a statement about our commitment to our customers.

I'm here CNCing at least 70 hours a week. Nicks here in the shop a good 50 and then 20 at home on email, etc.

We HOPE, some day it will pay off.

Clive isn't chop liver either, but he has a real job, so we keep his duties limited to R&D and keeping you guys informed about everything you ever wanted to know about LEDs.

Sorry if we sound boisterous. We're just pretty happy with this milestone.

I am really happy to see how big and successful nanocustoms has become in the last 5 years. Has it been that long? I am proud to say I was one of your first customers when I purchased the T5 actinic lights for my legendary 12 gallon JBJ cube, it was your mods that allowed me to push the limits of power compacts onto SPS corals.

Nice to see you still use my orginal picture of my 12 gallon JBJ tank on your website, MikeGuerrero signature series tank.

I won't ever forget the countless conversations we had over configuring my tank and how you guided me to be the reefer I became with nanos and my 72 gallon bowfront evolution.


Well, I'm back in circulation after a long separation from the hobby. Watch for my new thread on my pico tank.

I've only been with NT/NC for a few months, but this brings a tear to my eye (just a small one) It's great seeing a community like ours still supporting a company like this. Chris has done a great job over the years helping hundreds of people to get the most out of their AIOs. I'm proud to be part of that.

So you think NC has done some cool stuff in the last five years? Jut wait till you see what we are up to

Back when NT was turning 2, I thought an Ipod NANO was a fitting prize. Now that we are 5 and more grown up, its about stuff that makes a reefer drool. I think the RKE fits the bill.

When I told clive he would be getting one to keep indefinately for testing, he seemed pretty stoked.
