Just bought one for my 29bc. I have some algae in the tank now for him to feed on. What do i feed in the future? red? green? brown algae?

should accept flake/pellet as well. Mine eats just about anything I offer, I also put stips of seaweed in there (sushi nori) and he eats it right up.

mine prefer green and don't touch my red macro or my scroll algae(brown) but then again I don't have the variation in brown or red algaes like I do with green. I don't think it really matters though. It's best to get a blenny once you already have a healthy algae growth.

Enjoy your lawnmower, blennies have exceptional personalities and fun to watch.

Edit: my starry blenny also eats mysis or brine shrimp when I feed the 45 too.

My lawnmower blenny wouldn't touch any of my algae at all and only ate flake no matter what else I tried to feed him. He died after about 6 months sad.gif

try to get him eating other stuff now such as algae sheets, pellets, etc. when the algae in your tank runs out he will starve.
