They are striped with purple, have a purple foot, and are able to flip themselves back over.

i find them better cleaners than regular astraea snails

Yep, they have the feelers coming out. I really like them, they seem to be effective. I want a few as part of my CUC once I'm cycled. I think I am starting to see diatoms

+1 to better than astrea's. They clean about the same for me but I can't keep the astrea's upright for any amount of time.
